Description
Patent dates of 1848 and ’49 and each piece marked “Cornelius & Co. Philadelphia, PA”. The centerpiece of the set, a three light figural group of Daniel Boone posed with two Indians also known as Leather Stocking. Each candle arm with crystal pendants suspended from a ring cast with kissing birds amongst foliage and flowers. The candle arms cast with scrolling leaf tips. The single units of the 3pc girandole set; each cast with a single figure. One, a woman in long dress with formal hat and jacket and the second a gentleman in period tails with knee boots. Each in the dress of the mid-19th century. Each figure a single candle stand with pendant crystals. The three pieces are mounted on white marble platforms. SIZE: Center unit is 18” h x 18” w. Pair of single units are 17” h x 6” w. Condition: CONDITION: With all original surface, the gilding intact and vibrant.
