Partly-printed war-date D.S., 1p. 6.5 x 2.5 in., Columbus, Miss., Feb. 2, 1863, an order from the $th Brigade of the state militia to the Mobile & Ohio Railroad instructing them to furnish 'one man on duty in service of the State' transportation from Columbus to the state line. In all likelihood, the man was being sent to join a Mississippi regiment in the Confederate Army. Even toning, very good.
