Patriotic parade sash featuring the stars and stripes of the American flag, 40 x 5 in., with red and white stripes on one side, and the opposite side bearing 13 sequin stars on a blue background. Stitched with a glittering border all around. The two ends are sewn at the middle with a patriotic rosette featuring a star at its center. The date of this sash is unknown but likely 19th or 20th century. Over time the stars and border have faded a bit and there are a few small holes, mostly confined to the bottom beneath the rosette. A sash such as this would have likely been worn by a politician or government official.
