A Spanish Colonial Carved Santos, Our Lady of Guadalupe
late 19th century, possibly Mexico or Central American, carved wood, gesso and polychrome, glass eyes, standing form of the Virgin Mary in billowing cerulean robes posed in pious gesture, atop a blue painted ovoid with crescent sides and two bas relief carved putti, all atop a tapered wood plinth.
