Lot of 21. Best three rare checks are: 1) Boca Brewing Company, 1885, Bullion & Exchange Bank. Famous for their Boca Beer brewed in the Sierra Nevada near Truckee. 2) 1895 check issued to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs, DM Browning. Signed on the back by Browning and WD Tobey. Daniel M. Browning served as Commissioner for Indians Affairs from 1893 to 1897, appointed by President Grover Cleveland. This check is possibly related to the Stewart Indian School, opened in 1890 near Carson City. 3) Wells, Fargo & Co. unused 1870s check with RN-C22 imprinted revenue. Bacon & Co. Rarest of all the Carson City revenue checks. (Books at $300). 4) Two Carson City Savings Bank unused 1880s checks with bank building vignette. 5) Carson City Savings Bank Original of Exchange, unused, 1870s. 6) Eleven B&E bank checks, 1901-1903. 7) Four pictorial State Controller's Warrants, 1877-1881, with railroad and mining vignettes.
