DESCRIPTION: A 1950s hinged desk tantalus decanter set hidden in the interior of a case depicting a block of antique french books, including authors such as Victor Hugo, Rabelais, Ragine, and Jacques Besombes. The leather and gilt case designed in the shape of a stack of four books, opens to display an interior with one (1) small glass decanter with cut glass stopper; and four (4) small shot glasses, all decoratively trimmed in gilt. Marked with gilt engraved mark "Made in France".

CIRCA: 20th Century.
ORIGIN: France.
DIMENSIONS: Case is H: 5 1/4" W: 7 1/4" D: 4 3/4". Decanter is H: 4 3/4" W: 2". Glasses are W: 1 1/4" H: 2".
