George III Mahogany and Marble-Top Slab Table

18th century, the rectangular marble top with clipped corners, above a frieze centered by a pendant shell carving, raised on cabriole legs headed by shell carving and ending in ball-and-claw feet.

In overall fine condition. The front left foot has two old professional pieced-in repairs to the toes (which are only detectable from the underside of the foot). Some shrinkage cracks along the lower aprons as expected with age. No damage or repairs to the marble top. Retains a rich, dark surface with a very pleasing overall patina.
