Description
A collection of antique 1883 original American McKee and Brothers EAPG pressed glass table wares. The collection includes seven goblets or footed glasses, four cups with a handle in various sizes, a pair of cups in blue and yellow shades, a footed candy bowl, a candy or fruit dish. Each piece is adorned with a special pattern named Deer and Pine Tree. Frederick and James McKee started this firm under the name F. and J. McKee in 1854. They produced cut glass, vials, bottles, pressed, and other types of glassware as well as window glass. The exact company name changed several times, becoming McKee and Brothers in 1867. A wide variety of early pressed glass tableware patterns and novelties were made by this firm, especially throughout the 1860s, 1870s, 1880s and 1890s.
