After - Felix Resurrection Hidalgo, .The drawing is done in the well-known style of Felix Resurrection Hidalgo.He was held in high esteem by the Filipino enlightened group, although he was never directly part of the movement. He is considered, however, one of the most outstanding painters of this country in the 19th century.In 1884 he won the silver medal at the Madrid Fine Arts Exhibition with a work inspired precisely by his Roman times (Christian Virgins exposed to the populace), the year in which Juan Luna, also a Filipino, won the gold medal.Throughout his career he received numerous awards and recognitions, having taken part in important exhibitions such as the Universal in Paris, the General Fine Arts in Barcelona, the International Fine Arts in Madrid, or several in the United States (San Luis, Chicago , etc.)
