Agnes Weinrich
Massachusetts, Iowa,1873-1946
Depicts two nude standing females in semi cubist form. Weinrich studied with French Cubist, Albert Gleizes and later on with with Charles Hawthorne and Blanch Lazzell in Provincetown, Massachusetts. She was a founder of the Modernist Movement at the Provincetown Artists Association, a friend of Peggy Guggenheim, and was on of the earliest American Modernists.
Pencil on paper,Sight 11 3/4" x 8 3/4".Frame 17 1/4" x 14"
Signed "A. Weinrich" lower left.
