A Continental Neoclassical mahogany jardiniere
second quarter 19th century
With zinc liner, on casters.
height 38in (96.5cm); diameter 20 1/2in (52cm)

Condition

Galleried top ring lifts off. Structurally sound. General marks, nicks, scratches, cracking, rubbing, toning to metal and wear. Liner oxidized. Numerous age cracks to body of jardiniere. Areas of old repairs and infill. Vertical shrinkage crack to center column with infill. Losses to veneer of base.
