A Gilt Silver Ritual Pitcher ( Jiluk) and Ewer
Tibet or Mongolia, circa 19th century
41 cm x 25.5 cm
Raised on a tapering Lotus foot, the pear-shaped body is set with a long tapering faceted spout issuing from the mouth of a dragon connecting the middle with turquoise stone and secured to the body by interlinked square knot of life symbols. One side of the Ewer has long-life Friendship Buddhist Auspicious Symbols.
