The "Boat Eye Table" consist of a thin layer of laminated marble and a feather light sheet of corrugated aluminium, whose border is highlighted rather than hidden. The space between the layers of aluminium is filled with "marble paste" in tones that go with those of the top, so that the "waves" seem to have been inlaid or set into the body of the item.
