An Intriguing China Provincial Silver Ingot of Five Taels with two vertical character stamps (179.5 grams). Shades of natural grey toning bathe the surfaces of this RARE early ingot. This example has not seen the light of day in many decades, and it is accompanied by an early envelope from late 19th century Dutch dealer Jacques Schulman that includes an attribution dating this specimen to 1260/1368 AD (though we are skeptical of its accuracy).
