1700-1350 B.C. A bronze spearhead composed of an elongated leaf-shaped blade, tapering round-section socket leading to a D-section tapering midrib to both faces. Cf. Private collection, acquired in the 1970s-1980s; thence by descent. Private collection since 1998. Type LS7 of the Bruno classification of the Middle Bronze Age Italic spearheads, to which this head belongs, is represented by large spearheads, characterised by a narrow blade with small holes at its base, polygonal midrib and a short socket.
