This Vintage MCM Sunbeam Coffeemaster Vacuum Coffee Maker is in excellent condition. Rubber seal is in great condition, no dings to the metal, clean inside and out. The first Coffeemaster pots were produced in the 1930’s The C50 model was produced in the early 1960’s. They were the best ones ever produced by Sunbeam. The seal is made secure by two latching levers on either side. I personally made coffee in this pot and almost decided not to sell it because the coffee was so good. It makes a great cup of coffee and does not need filters (built in).The electric cord is like new. This pot does not look like it was used all the time- maybe just on special occasions. This is a hard to find vintage 1961 Sunbeam C50 Vacuum Coffee Pot. These pots were made in the USA from the 1930s up through the early 1960s. This C50 is the last and best model. They were only made in limited numbers before production ended in 1961. These pots are built like tanks with chromed metal and Bakelite plastic handles. The chrome is still nice and shiny! The rubber seals are in excellent shape. These C50 Vac Pots are very highly regarded among coffee aficionados. This example is in excellent condition and it works great. Knob has brew and warm- clicks on to brew and automatically switches to warm after brewing. These pots were made from the best stainless steel. A magnet will not stick to them. The rubber seal is like new. Sunbeam made these like tanks- they will continue to work for many years. The Timex of coffeepots. Just keeps on making coffee. Stands 13 1/2" tall with lid on. Will hold 7 cups easily most likely an 8 cup pot but I would recommend using only 7 cups in it.; A little history: Sunbeam Vacuum coffee maker has a metal body, chrome-plated, double-bulb-shaped, molded plastic handles. Molded plastic lid , flange to sit into upper "brew pot", which has interior circular metal filter at bottom and is held on top of lower pot with black rubber gasket. It has an attached molded plastic base, black, with four small legs. Detachable black rubber two-prong electric cord attaches under handle. Lower pot hold water and the upper brew-pot with its interior metal filter, place them upside down to dry. Designed by Alfonso Ianelli (1888-1965), a designer in the early to mid-twentieth century best known for his consumer product design and collaboration with Frank Lloyd Wright on his 1914 Midway Gardens project early in his career.
