Leather Bound autograph book originally owned by Anita Aros (American, 1928-2008), who would become a successful violinist and a staple on variety shows like "The Hoffman Hayride" and "The Spade Cooley Show". A kind note is left by her co-star and band leader, Spade Cooley, years before he would brutally murder his wife in 1961 and Aros would testify in court to the marriage proposal he had made her in the preceding months, which she had mistaken for a joke. Cooley was convicted of murdering his second wife, Ella Mae Cooley, by torture, forcing their 14-year-old daughter to witness her mother's death.
