1st century A.D. A hollow-formed gold finger ring of Hellenistic type with tapering shank, circular cell with inset carnelian cabochon, intaglio bull motif standing on a baseline. Cf. Ruseva-Slokoska, L., Roman Jewellery, Sofia, 1991, item 202, for type. 5.40 grams, 29.94 mm overall, 18.71 mm internal diameter (approximate size British O, USA 7 1/2, Europe 15.61, Japan 15) (1 1/4 in.).
