People plan their vacations around this event, which is always held on the third Thursday in July.Last year, my lovely wife was invited to create plein aire paintings of the gardens on the tour. We're offering some today to raise funds for the Camden Garden Club's Scholarship Fund. This fund has for many years supported local students who are interested in careers in environmental or horticultural sciences and which has helped them attend schools including the University of Maine and the Yale School of Forestry.These paintings offer a rare and unique look at some of the Midcoast's loveliest private gardens. You can hang one of these beauties on your wall and know that you're supporting a great cause!
