Description
The fine Louis XV style example with nine original turned wood finials atop the various peaks of the front and sides, relief carvings of wheat (this being a bread safe) along with traditional French motifs of flower baskets and musical trophies as well as other carvings on the serpentine front case joined by wood pegs and centered by a small door with large cylindrical iron hinge. The whole is raised on four cabriole whorl-and-hoof legs pegged to scrolling skirts.
Measures 42.5 x 30.5 x 16 inches.
Provenance: The Marianne Sebree Estate.
