Bellied vase, China, probably 18th century, Porcelain with doucai painting, in moonlight the poet Li Bai rides in his drunkenness supported by demonic servants on a carp on the water waves of the long river (i.e. Yangtze) in the Jiangnan region, in front of him a deer-like creature with branch as standard behind him a sea creature in the shape of a shrimp with lotus leaf as umbrella of honour, thematically corresponding seven-character poem in normal script, six-character mark Kangxi, h. 14 cm, d. 11 cm
