Description
Korean painting "Assembly of Buddhist Deities" early 20th century, possibly late Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), executed in ink and color on rough cloth, depicting the Tejaprabha Buddha or deified North Star in the center flanked by two attendant bodhisattvas, Sunlight and Moonlight, each holding an orb, framed by the deified Seven Stars or bodhisattvas as well as eight earthly deities, having an inscription at lower center, framed. Provenance: From the Private Collection of Vernon Harris, Cumming, Georgia. Sight approx. h. 49", w. 60". Overall h. 52", w. 63.5".

Rippling of canvas, water damage at top center, and minor soil.
