Seven piece group of dresser accessories, first half 20th century, most with painted miniature portraits and scenes including an English bone veneered box with a lid containing a painting "Prince William of Orange and Anne, Princess Royal" after Anthony van Dyck (Flemish 1599-1641), and an assortment of French gilt metal items in the Louis XVI taste including a rectangular box with print fabric lid and a circular frame, the large oval box marked "Ovington /New York/France", small oval box "Lord & Taylor/Paris New York", the remainder apparently unmarked. Approx. large oval box h. 3.25", w. 5.5", d. 4"; bone box h. 2.5", w. 3.75", d. 4.75".
Condition
Loss of gilding, chip to glass on frame, bone box with damage to the interior of the lid, darkening to the fabric of the large oval box, lining to medium oval box is stained, small oval box with staining to moire backing.
