Gilbert Rohde (American, 1894-1944) for Herman Miller Art Deco extending dining table, designed in the 1930s as Model 3725 from the Formal Dining Group, with shaped rectangular top with checkerboard parquetry surface with squares of burl amboyna interspersed with mahogany, the table with gear mechanism and two conforming leaves, above a pair of curved pedestal supports in mahogany joined by a stretcher. 30" H x 72" L x 40" W (each leaf 24", 120" L fully extended)
