Lenox porcelain dinner service in the rare E306R pattern, ca. 1930s, each piece hand numbered with piece and pattern numbers in sepia, all with green underglaze Lenox marks, some with additional retailer's marks of Marshall Field, Chicago, each piece with gold encrusted leaf tip rim with claret-red band and wide cream colored border overlaid with a gold-encrusted frieze of urns with fruit and scrolling acanthus tracery surrounding the plain white cavetto, and comprising 26 dinner plates, 12 luncheon plates, 12 salad plates, 12 dessert plates, 12 bread and butter plates, 12 Bouillon Soup cups and saucers (24 pieces) and 12 coffee cups and saucers (24 pieces) 122 pcs, total. Note: this service was produced by Lenox for high end retailers of their wares on commission and was not part of their general production. Another version of this service was produced in Green. It is noted that it was likely only to have been in production between 1930 and the beginning of American entry into the Second World War in 1942.
