Description
Attributed to Abraham Bloemaert (Dutch, 1564-1651). Oil painting on panel titled "Eve Gives Adam the Fruit," depicting the scene from the biblical Book of Genesis. A partially illegible inscription to the verso provides the artist's name and the date 1567.
Provenance: From the Estate of Horst Rechelbacher, Osceola, Wisconsin.
