Description
This lot includes a Piece on Cannister or "Shrapnel" taken from the wound of Corporal George W. Burbank at the Battle of the Wilderness, May 6th 1864, a Hardtrack or 'Soldiers Ration' brought home by William Tracy in 1865 at wars end, and a piece of the apple tree from under which Jefferson Davis was captured. All three artifacts come from the collection on Don Limpert as found, with similar styled frames, one frame missing lower left leaf piece. See attached photos as evidence of condition and details. Don acquired all of these items many years ago from the same families estate.
