For your consideration is a lovely bronze sculpture titled Woman with Rooster by Swedish artist Carl Milles. Dimensions: 32.5h x 9w x 6.5d. In excellent vintage condition. This sculpture was created for a fountain in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and can also be seen on display in the Millesgarden museum in Sweden. Carl Milles (1875-1955) was an influential artist in the 20th Century working between Sweden and the United States. He created monumental sculptures for many public art commissions. Between 1931 and 1951 he resided with his wife Olga in Cranbrook, Bloomfield Hills, outside Detroit, where he is Professor of Sculpture at the Cranbrook Academy of Art. He receives many commissions for fountains and monuments throughout the United States. During this time, he also was a part of many exhibitions.
