Chinese Ming Dynasty JiBlue Porcelain Jug Bottle. Potted in a jug shape, flaring mouth-rim, a long cylindrical neck, drum abdomen, with bowl spout flanked on the mid belly outward at the short mouth rim and raised with ring footed base slight concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in masterfully covered in an even coat of a deep blue glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. The blue glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The glaze is lustrous and glittering, giving a sense of fresh and worthy of collection.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
