Chinese Qing Dynasty DaoGuang Festival Red Porcelain Bottle Vase. The porcelain potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, suspending a cylindrical neck, raised on short ring foot base and slighty concave. Warm and uniform red glaze applied to the whole bowl, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Red is the most important variety of China porcelain. It was originated in the Qing Dynasty. The red color of the packet symbolizes good luck, corresponding with fire, symbolizes good fortune and joy. The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years DaoGuang Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
