“IAIA Family” draws inspiration from the family that IAIA has become. It features three prominent ledger artists from different decades of IAIA. In the center we see a depiction of the Three Drummers statue that was in the heart of the old campus when Don and Monte attended. Monte, the lead artist, drew this statue as well as the figure riding the horse directly to the right. Don created the person riding the horse in the top left of the work. James added the maiden and bird in the top right. In the background there are two columns listing prominent staff and faculty from 1968 and 1978, when Don and Monte attended IAIA.
