Burlington / CB&Q Railroad Cook Hot Box / Journal Cooler Cooler is embossed with the Burlington Route herald and measures approximately 26" x 16" x 12". Retains original chains and wooden handle. This also includes the rubber hose and clamps. The paint appears to have been brush applied and has clean galvanized metal underneath. Likely original paint. The silver applied to the lettering appears to be a later addition. This cooler could hang on the side of a car and would gravity feed water onto a hot journal box to allow the train to continue.
