1. c. 1885 four-gallon stoneware crock stamped "WHITE & WOOD / BINGHAMTON, N.Y. / 4", cobalt decorated with a crested bird having a fan-shaped tail and perched on a vine, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles; 12" dia., 11"H; chip to outer edge of rim, one handle broken off and partially present, other handle with loss, scattered craquelure and chips to glaze overall---2. White's of Utica (attributed) stoneware decorated pitcher; embossed with cobalt rose motif on both sides, cobalt striping to handle and cobalt beaded line below spout; base incised "18"; late 19th century; 6 3/4"H; good condition overall, 1/4" firing crack to side of spout, a few minor glaze chips to high points on decoration (Ref. 60, 230)
