"Late Afternoon" pastel depicting a pastoral setting with cows grazing, signed lower right "Eula La Croix PSA", matted and under glass in painted wood frame, late 20th / early 21st century; sight 14"W, 10"H; frame 22 1/4"W, 18 1/4"H; some light soiling to mat along lower edge and corner---A native of Kentucky, Eula La Croix has lived in the Carolinas since 1976. She has taught classes for the Jefferson Co. Ky. Parks and Recreation, Jefferson Co. Ky. Schools, the Spartanburg Museum of Art and in her own studio. In 1976 she founded and helped organize the Palette Club of Louisville to benefit both professional and amateur artists in Jefferson County, KY. More recently, she was one of the original organizers of ArtVenture, a painting group in Hendersonville, NC. (Ref. 4)
