Pre-Columbian Pottery COLIMA Mexico Pottery Standing Figure, beard-like projection, holding a short rattle. Vent hole in head. Elongated nose, closed eyes and mouth. Flat, slab-like back. From the Estate of Dr. Gordon Saver, husband of Eunice Saver, an esteemed archaeologist of 35 years, known for her published work with the Institute of Archaeology at UCLA, her work with the International Institute for Mesopotamian Area Studies, her work on sites in Syria and elsewhere, and in researching and deciphering ancient hieroglyphics and cylinder seals.
