Pair of Mid 19th Century Double Arm Bronze Argand Lamps with Etched Shades. The lamps are attributed to H.N. Hooper & Co. This finial and the open and shut marked lever instructions are indicative for Hooper's lamps. Hooper was one of the leading manufactures for lighting fixtures in mid-19th Century Boston. Lamps measure 16 1/4" high X 17 1/2" wide including shades X approx. 7" deep. Lamps have been electrified. The two lights have four etched glass shades, 7" high X 4 3/4" dia. Base of shades measure 3 31/6" dia. Condition- Lamps are in overall good condition. Arm on one lamp is slightly bent. The lamps have oxidation to bronze. Antique lighting should be tested by a qualified professional before use. See photos.
