Superb Decorative Gold Pendant with Sepia Toned Scene
Colonial Era Design Gold Pendant with Hand-Pianted Sepia Toned Scene, Choice Near Mint.
A beautiful Hand-Painted Oval Pendant that measures about 1" x 1.5" having no date, place or maker. Its painted image is viewed under its original antique beveled glass showing only slight wear. It shows a lovely woman holding a shepherd's crook/staff in her right hand with lambs laying at her feet, sitting in the woods carving or drawing a likely memorial on a tree trunk. Attached is a modern 8.5" suspension cord. A tiny prior owner or maker's number "1090" faintly seen under the top loop on the blank reverse. The front enamel and gold (not marked) surround has a wonderful highly decorative design with a deep blue design highlighting the white and gold painted enamel, the full outer border edge also in gold. An impressive pendant, ready to wear or display.
