Men's Vintage 1953 Rolex Watch. 14k Gold and Stainless Steel. Oyster Perpetual Watch. Reference: 6285. Serial #: 905683 Recently serviced, works perfectly, brand new black watch band. Dial has Arabic numbers on the 3, 6 and 9. This style later became known as the Explorer. Reference 6285 was a model with very little lume on the hands and dial, the second hand was blued. The small amount of lume benefitted this watch greatly as the small amount of radiation didn't hurt the dial. Reference and Serial #s are still clearly visible between the lugs. Very minor scarring on the 2:00 lug. Features rare original silvered patterned dial with gilt recessed and raised indexes and gilt alpha hands. Officially certified chronometer. 1" face.
