Vintage Art Nouveau style cloisonne jewelry, trinket box, gold plated decorations and translucent iron-oxide red with golden shining structure of metal under enamel. There is flower with a butterfly on top. Both are enameled and decorated with rhinestone crystals. There is a black velvet inside, an oval mirror is installed inside the lid; unmarked.

The box is c.6.1/2" x 5.1/2" [16.5cm x 14cm]; c.3.1/4 [8.2cm] tall from the bottom to the butterfly's wing; 1.3/4" [4.5cm] deep; fine condition.

Cloisonne is an ancient technique for decorating metalwork objects with colored material held in place or separated by metal strips or wire.
