A Chinese Lacquered and Hardstone Inlay Four Panel Folding Screen

20th century, black lacquer panels with dark reddish-brown borders, on front side each panel is decorated with applied hardstone vases with different stems of flowers including lotus, prunus, peony, and chrysanthemum, the elegant vases are painted with various patterns and raised on stands, other objects are included in the scenes also rendered in hardstone with painted details, the reverse of the screen has panels painted in gilt with different flora above cartouches with calligraphy.
