ARTIST BIO:

Oliver Tihi (Boris Dukic) is an artist of the middle generation, who spent almost his entire life and working life in Verona, Italy, where he was highly recognized and appreciated as a brawler. He had his first studio in Makarska, and he finished his painting studies in Rome at the famous Accademia di Belle Arti.

Faced with the ferocious metaphysics of our existence, as critics said, "heir to Matisse...", Oliver Tihi brought exotic flowers, old sailing ships, nudes, biblical scenes to life on his canvases with sumptuous colors...

Tichy was the first painter in the world to exhibit in Julia's house in Verona, and he was a great friend of Albert Moravia and Gabriel Zanardi. Milan's Corriere della sera revealed his preference for the interpretation of Italian neorealism. Many of his works received the status of national treasures of the country where he lived.

He exhibited all over the world: Verona, Rome, Paris, Berlin, Manchester, Copenhagen, Cologne, New Delhi, Calcutta, Dortmund, Miami Beach... He had his first and last exhibition in Belgrade in 1961 and 1996, respectively. He was born in 1943 in Bosanski Grahovo and died in Verona in 1996.
