A Russian gilded silver and cloisonné enamel tea glass holder, Pavel Ovchinnikov, Moscow, circa 1896. In the Russian Style, of cylindrical form with shaped columnar handle, the body decorated with ornament based on Russian traditional or vernacular ornament, with three pairs of stylized cockerelsflanking a tree within bands of brightly colored geometric motifs within turquoise beaded borders and blue lappet borders, all against a stippled gilt ground. Height: 3 3/8 in. (8.5 cm).
