Oscar Tusquets(Spanish, born 1941).Modern silverplate tea service designed for Alessi in 1983. Silver plated steel, wood handle to the tea pot, and glass lids to the tea pot and sugar. Each piece is marked to the underside of the base. His work is in the permanent collections of museums around the world, such as the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, MoMA in New York, the Dali Museum in Figueres, the Vitra Design Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum. Dimensions: Tea pot - 7" high x 8" wide x 4 1/2" deep.Creamer - 4 15/16" high x 5 1/8" wide x 3 3/4" wide.Sugar bowl - 3" high x 4 3/4" wide x 3 3/4" deep. Condition: Teapot has a small area of wear to the lacquer on thumb-rest of handle, as well as chips to the glass lid where it meets the body of the pot due to use. Otherwise, very good.
