Dimensions: 6-3/4"H
18th Century Chinese Qing Dynasty Tibetan gilt bronze Bodhisattva figure of seated Amitayus Buddha, the Enlightened One of Immeasurable Life, Lord of Limitless Life and Pristine Awareness, the Sambhogakaya aspect (Enjoyment Body) of Buddha Amitabha. Sitting in a meditative posture. The hands are placed in the Abhaya mudra with the palms raised upward while resting in his lap. The Abhaya mudra represents fearlessness and shows the period of the Buddhas life after achieving enlightenment. The Buddha gazes straightforward with slightly open eyelids with the urna dot in-between them. A large crown rest upon his head and his hair is put up into the traditional bun adorned with an ornament at the apex. Rests upon a double lotus pedestal with flowing robes spilling over his legs and onto the platform. Many bracelets and traditional charms are worn by the Buddha. Underside with incised quatrefoil flora-form petal visvavajra surrounding the centralized DaiJi.

Condition
Over all in EXCELLENT condition. With normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, consider ages and wear.
