World War I era helmet, American M1917. American, early 20th century (First World War). This helmet, often called the doughboy helmet, was based on the British Mark I / Brodie helmet. It was a popular and usable design up to the Second World War. This helmet includes its original liner (leather and cloth) as well as painted camouflage decoration on the top. Interior label is partially present. Stamped "ZC 65" and inscribed "Vincent Guardo" (?). Good condition overall, with patina / surface loss / damage as expected.
