GRAVELL & TOLKIEN, LONDON No.3423 A GEORGE III FLAME VENEERED MAHOGANY EIGHT DAY LONGCASE CLOCK The twelve-inch arched silvered brass dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minute markings enclosing date markings and a recessed seconds dial beneath a strike/silent hand to the arch fronting a substantial eight-day repeating movement fitted five knopped pillars and rack strike on a bell. The arch-top hood with centre ball finial, fish-tail side frets and brass stop reeded canted angles enclosing a narrow moulded hood door, the full-length arch-top trunk door with matching canted sides on a panelled plinth base - massive brass bob pendulum with regulating nut and brass cased weights. (221cm high to top of finial)
