Two coal scuttles with removable tin inserts. The first, a classical brass coal scuttle on footed base having side handles and removable brass roof-shaped lid with urn shaped finial - 12 /2" square x 18 1/2"H - early to mid 19th century - minor dents on lid, otherwise very good condition; the second, a wooden coal scuttle with fancy brass hinges and brass carrying handle - late 19th century and in very good condition.
