Phoenician /Egyptian Recumbent Lion Vessel, Ca. 300-100 B.C. Glazed pottery vessel in the form of a recumbent lion, with his head turned to the side, tail curled over his rear hunch, rimmed vessel opening in the top of his head. Overall scattered high point wear, and loss to his left front paw. Mounted on a black block base. Size:3-3/4”L. x 2-1/4”H. Provenance:Florida collection. Ex. Archaeological Center, Tel Aviv. 04/23/2000, lot 261.
