A late 19th century French "Woman on a Swing" mantel clock by Eugene Farcot. 8-day time and strike visible movement with porcelain chapter ring and Roman numerals, has a Farcot patent swinger escapement with double escape wheel, and cast pendulum with figure, movement signed, "Chappement Brevete" with Eagle Trademark, serial #63506. Alabaster case with scrolled supports, urn finial with Gilded Brass arms, finials and appliques, painted bosses and lower panel, on scrolled feet. Some wear and edge chips to case, dial hairlines, running when cataloged. 18 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $1,500-2,500
