A French gilt bronze, gilt metal and glass inkwell
late 19th century
height 3 1/4in (8.3cm); width 8in (20.3cm); depth 2 3/4in (7cm)

Condition

Wear and rubbing to gilding overall. Variation to the color of the gilding on each inkwell and the frieze. Polish residue in crevices. Hinge of one lid has been repaired. Some fleabites to glass well at center. Small repaired chip to top of glass behind one well. One corner of glass near center well appears to have been filed down.
